well its disappointing. i watched him as a rokkie and thought he would eventually have the talent to start at some point. its sad but the team has to do what it has to for the team. i cant wait for the season though. lets go saints!

CB Keyou Craver is the second New Orleans Saint this week to be hit with an NFL substance-abuse policy suspension. Unlike linebacker Sedrick Hodge\'s suspension over the weekend, Craver\'s suspension will keep him out for the year.

Craver\'s suspension means he has advanced into the third stage of the NFL\'s substance abuse program. Craver served a four-game suspension last season in the second stage of the program, which means he has failed another drug test since.

Off-field problems, especially dealing with maturity and possible drug use, have been an issue with Craver since his days at the University of Nebraska as a star cornerback and special teams player. He slipped out of the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft after blowing off his pro day workouts for NFL scouts and looking sluggish and overweight for his pre-draft workout. The Saints took a flier on him in the fourth round, a move that was hailed as a steal for the team but a gamble that has now seen its fruition as a mistake.
