What New Orleans Saints players were snubbed by Pro Bowl voters?

1 Attachment(s)
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has passed for more yards and more touchdowns than any other quarterback in the NFL this season.

Was Drew Brees the biggest Saints Pro Bowl snub?

Although he has been hampered by a wrist injury throughout the season, tight end Jimmy Graham remains one of the league's finest players at his position, ranking third in the league among tight ends in receptions, yards and touchdowns.

Middle linebacker Curtis Lofton has 147 tackles, a sack and eight pass breakups, but it obviously wasn't enough to gain a berth on the NFC Pro Bowl team announced Wednesday.

All this leads to the question, which Saints player was the biggest snub by Pro Bowl voters? Was it Brees, Graham, Lofton or even receiver Marques Colston or tackle Jermon Bushrod?

No they pretty much got it right. Graham had a bad year with drops and injuries. Colston got his stats but drops and fumbles plagued him. Lofton did his best and if the D as a whole was middle of the pack he would have gotten in but when no ones gonna vote anyone from the worst D in NFL history to the Pro Bowl...regardless of stats. Brees would've gotten in if we were in the Playoffs...

I will say this tho....I wouldn't be suprised if these guys and maybe Cam Jordan are voted in when SP gets back next year. I think Jordan is just gonna get better with 2nd year under Spags. Same goes for the rest of the young guys and FA....I think most of our guys from the GW that are still here are gonna mostly be gone.

We are the bad boys of the NFL. We are the Bounty Boys or the Assassins.
Either way no surprise of being shunned.

I concur concur!!

To many drops on offense. Colston was hurt earlier in the year and that didn't do him any favors.

Don't consider Lofton a snub. I love the dude, 147 tackles is great but 1 sack is not going to make anyone take notice.

Not so much as play....they just play pitch and catch and the O & Dlines paw at each other weakly for a few seconds before they let a running back run as much as he likes or the QB throws for as much as he likes......

well unless you're an a**hole named Cam Newton who doesn't respect the greats of the game, charges the kids of fellow NFL players money for autographs.....then there's a major effort put forth my the D Line to drive you into the turf. LOL.

I can't name just ONE player that was consistently GOOD this season week in and week out.

Not one of them deserved the Pro Bowl honor.

TheOak 12-27-2012 04:18 PM

Oops! Except Morestead.

who wants to watch electric football with "real" players anyway?

TheOak 12-27-2012 07:13 PM

It's not about the game for me.... It's te prestige of having our players making the team.

However most of them played like it was electric football for 1/2 the season....

Electric football implies that the players would eventually wind up grinding on each other at one end of the field. You give them too much credit for organization and motivation.

I think they got it right, especially leaving R White off,,,,he's a douche. I don't feel our guys played well enough throughout the season. Anyway's I'd to see our guys stay home and not get banged up.

I'm happy for Morstead - he deserves it more than anyone on the team.

I would agree if he were an outside linebacker, but middle linebackers never get many sacks, if any at all. Just look at Patrick Willis... He has just a half sack on the year, and 116 tackles. I won't say that Lofton was snubbed, but I think he was worthy of serious consideration.
