What happens next year? Can we get back to winning 11 games?
 

I believe these are sure wins.............jets, bills, cards, 49ers(not happening again), vikings(hopefully thats who we get), panthers once, bucs once, and falcons once. With maybe the possibility of a sweep of one of them. But our FA and draft will depend upon our chances against pats on the road, dolphins(they have been problems for us), rams(its always a battle on their field), seahawks(their defense and run game and Qwest), and if we draw them cowboys(I'm sensing a road win trend). If its giants its another win for us(in our dome). I can see 8 sure wins but the rest depends on the defense in the offseason.

Nothing is a sure win, we have a history of failing against 1 win teams

However I do believe that we will be a different team when Sean Paytons back, by different team I mean the team we had from 2009-2011

Couple play makers in the draft and maybe free agency and we are set

While there are no sure wins, we're not going to lose all the easy games either. I look at recent history in some cases, we have owned the jets(the year 05 we beat them and passed the Revis test by running the ball), the bills don't scare good offenses on the road, and the vikes are not really all that scary to me. I think we can win and vikes schedule next year consists of steelers, bengals, ravens, redskins, cowboys, and a likely trip to Seattle again. They won't be 10-6 again next year. Which means we can take advantage of that.

Either way, I just don't want a disappointment.

I think with Payton back this exact 2012 team could win 11 games next year.

Historically we are not a good run defense. Also, while I dont think we will lose all the easy games either, we do have a very bad habit of losing the 1-2 games that bite us in the arse.

May just be me but Adrian Peterson gives me night sweats.

I agree with Danno. Anyway about next year, I will wait to see who our coach is and who we can **** can and pick up via draft and FA next year. With Payton, anything is possible, without, we are .500 again.

I think Coach P was worth a minimum of 2-3 games this year and with that said we would have been in pretty decent shape. Between his game management, coralling Drew when he wondered and slappin the bejesus out of the receivers. So, i think we are in good shape for next season.

It's not just you. After this season, Peterson is going to give all the Vikes 2013 opposing defenses NIGHT TERRORS during the offseason.

As others have said there are no sure wins .The team is still fuming over this year and has a point to prove,as do the coaches.A couple of good picks and nice FA will take the team back to winning 10+ games.

with payton back all that matters will be playing saints football. We have consistently been a team that bets ourselves by making mistakes. That gets cleaned up for the most part with the addition of payton, also the D has been showing some signs of life in the second half of the season. Can't wait for next year.

We were just a few important plays away from being at least an 11 win team, this year. But if it wasn't bad defense, it was a turnover in so many crucial moments that swung games around. As poorly as they looked at times, the chances were there for the taking, and they just didn't get it done.

If you listen to Pat Yastinksomethingfierce, you'd think we were 0-15.
