1 Attachment(s)
The tone of the of New Orleans Saints linebackers coach Joe Vitt's testimony from Dec. 3's portion of the bounty hearings conducted by former Commissioner Paul Tagliabue took a sharp turn once Mary Jo White, the head of the NFL's legal team, questioned Vitt.
NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune recently acquired a copy of the transcript of Vitt's testimony in front of Tagliabue. Peter Ginsberg, lawyer for Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma, first questioned Vitt in the proceedings and White followed for cross-examination. This isn't a complete transcription, but it's an in-depth look at Vitt's cross-examination. During questioning by NFL's attorney, Joe Vitt said Gregg Williams lied in his testimony | NOLA.com http://imgick.nola.com/home/nola-med...159-mmmain.jpg Some big information was just released today ... the transcripts of Joe Vitt's testimony at the appeal hearing. These two stories detail it. Very eye opening to some. Joe Vitt's anger, frustration and wit displayed in New Orleans Saints bounty appeals testimony Joe Vitt questioned Mike Cerullo's credibility during Paul Tagliabue's bounty hearing During questioning by NFL's attorney, Joe Vitt said Gregg Williams lied in his testimony |
Re: Joe Vitt's Testimony Goes Public
They are long reads but awesome in content. Both Cerullo and Gregg Williams get butchered.

Re: Joe Vitt's Testimony Goes Public
Love me some Joe Vitt! I sure believe his testimony over Williams and Cerullo. Wonder why the league didn't take Joe up on his offer to testify with he and Cerullo tethered to lie detectors? Hmmm? Afraid they would have to admit how shoddy and shady their "investigation" was?

Well, there goes our second round pick. Ol' Rog' won't stand for this kind of intelligence.

Re: Joe Vitt's Testimony Goes Public
These are great reads.
If Cerullo ever needs Vitt to cross the road to save his sorry life, he is going to be out of luck. Vitt rightfully hates the hell out of that man. The bit about Vitt busting him out for making up crazy stories to get out of work was awesome. Poor Vitt sounds just out of his mind that they are believing a liar like Cerullo and a nut job like Williams. Not that I blame him. It really does baffle the mind that this all happened because of those 2 guys. |
Re: Joe Vitt's Testimony Goes Public
Great reads thanks for posting. I have a lot of respect for Joe Vitt and I hope he's with the Saints for many years to come. The guy did not deserve this.
