Yeah, I'm not at all bought in to the idea of Singletary as a coach. Obviously there is the SF fiasco. But I've also seen him involved in a few sideline conversations (miked up stuff on NFLN), and just not very impressed at all.

Vilma has always been a strictly 4-3 kinda guy. He doesn't match well with a 3-4 scheme. In fact, when Eric Mangini took over the Jets in 2006 and brought with him a switch to the 3-4, Vilma's production suffered seriously over the next two years. So much so that in 2008 the Jets let him shop for a trade, one that brought him to New Orleans.
That is EXACTLY why he left the Jets - to get to a 4-3 team.
That said, he'll be with us for another season or two. We signed him up for that long....

Payton is either waiting on someone to clear for a hire or hes still debating on crenell or viseversa. Just bring somebody in soon i'm shaking to get this de fixed to normal. Get back to contending.

The only thing I am confident of is that whoever we pick for defense, player or DC, will probably not work out,lol.
If I were a HC of another team, I would wait until NO picks FA's and Coaches for defense 1st, to reducing the chance that I accidentally pick a bunch of over paid duds.

At this point maybe the FO should list the best DC's and players for the job, and then find coaches and players Not on that list, LOL
