Spags ended up being an abortion. This team would been a LOT better at defense had we hired Jack Del Rio, but hind-sight is 20/20 and Del Rio just came from a poor head coaching job in Jacksonville (with lack of GM and owner support in his defense). I still think the heart of the 49ers defense is that d-line and Tomsula has remained on the d-line thru 3 separate head coaches for a reason. But I see both points. |
