SOS changes so much from game to game. The Falcons had one of the tougher schedules entering 2012 based on 2011 results, but ended up with the easiest schedule based on 2012 results.
Grain of salt guys. |

Home is not so tough, 49ers only tough one. The road is brutal.

Re: New Orleans Saints will face second-toughest schedule in 2013 based on 2012 records
I don't think its that tough of a schedule. Also think it doesn't really matter we have lost to some of the worst and beat some of the best no matter who you play in the NFL there are no easy games.

Re: New Orleans Saints will face second-toughest schedule in 2013 based on 2012 records
I think we all agree here, a schedule is just that, a schedule. For as awful as our defense was they did in fact show up a few games in rare form.

Also keep in mind, having Atlanta on our schedule, and Atlanta having us twice is a 12 game swing in the strength of schedule.
Atlanta's schedule is ranked 15th. I think we all know Atlanta's 2012 record was grossly inflated and our 2012 record isn't a good indicator of our 2013 projections. |

We are not going to play all four of them in late November/December. My guess is we get pats week 6 or 7 due to the record, and jets maybe in September. I think they want us to go to Seattle and Chicago in December due to the defenses. First half predictions(weeks 1-8) Buffalo New England New York Jets Tampa Bay Carolina Atlanta Arizona Mid Point(9-10) St.Louis Atlanta Second half(11-17) Miami Tampa Bay Carolina Dallas Chicago San Francisco Seattle In first half TB is due for a win against us believe it or not, we are due for one against Carolina, and usually our first games against Atlanta are at home prior to week 10. So I'd say 2-1 there, bills and jets we should beat thats 4-1. Arizona as well makes it 5-1 with New England being a tossup as it really could go either way. If Rodgers is better than Brady, considering that GB has an even better defense we should be able to hang tough with them like the packers. On paper its a loss At mid point, I feel we should beat the rams since we lost last meeting and know to take them serious this time. And lets say we split with falcons again 6-3, assuming we go to Atlanta week 10. In second half, I think at this point is when a team like Miami begins to unravel I say we win thats 7-3. The second games against Carolina and Tampa Bay will have opposite results 8-4. Then the tougher ones and all are tough but SF is asking for us to win the most, 9-4. It is important to at least win one of Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and New England. Dallas is at home but I just think of the last time we played them in the dome and it wasnt pretty. We wouldnt want to play them if they are down thats for sure. |
No such thing as "due" for a win.

Re: New Orleans Saints will face second-toughest schedule in 2013 based on 2012 records
We are too good to be swept back to back seasons by a division rival.
Now I think we are not a lock to win division but believe we get back in playoffs. I feel Carolina if they go into both Zona and SF and win they're gonna be our biggest headache. But I do not think a sweep happens again. We have one rout a year against TB and the other is close and either can win(bucs won three of the last four of those). Its gonna be a interesting offseason. I'm going to be looking more into specific defenses/offenses for teams to give a better accuracy of what to expect |
Re: New Orleans Saints will face second-toughest schedule in 2013 based on 2012 records
Does anyone believe that Godhell tried to give us a tough schedule because he's not done with us yet? And yes, I am a conspiracy theorist!

The only thing the league can influence is when we play. Who we play is set for the next 20 years, and has been set since the re-alignment several years back. |

The only thing he did last season to screw us was having us play in Atlanta on a Thursday night with three days rest. Atlanta is still beating their chest from that win thinking it was commanding of respect. Ryan wasnt great in that game either and Brees has an axe to grind next year. Now Idk but the pats game will be interesting. I keep thinking week 6 but why would Goodell have us go there anytime but December? |
