I heard that Akiem Hicks is a great fit for being a DE in this alignment. We still have Casillas who has great sideline to sideline speed. I think we need a bigger body to play the NT. Thoughts????

This needs to happen if Harper is gone. Moving Jenkins to SS increases the versatility of the defense and athleticism of our secondary. He's already been playing like one the past couple of years so the transition should be seemless and effective. Greer/Robinson/Quddus/Jenkins athletically, should rival any other team in the league.

We have a defense with no GREAT talent and a defensive coordinator that requires GREAT talent.

i dont think Rob Ryan requires great talent because we dont need him to build a top 10 defense. We need to be stout against the run so teams cant burn out the clock or grind out the game, we need to be able to pressure the QB and turnovers for extra possesions. All GW did in 2009 was play great redzone D and force TOs. If Rob Ryan can get us a few more stops on D, Payton & Co. will do the rest.

We have great, misused talent.......

Corey White...... Most of us think can be a number one corner if given some time.

Martez Wilson..... Consistent field time is all he needs. He makes plays.....

Abdul quddus...... Hard hitter and so far, he has pretty good coverage skills as well.

Cam Jordan......... Trending in the right direction as a player getting push, getting to the qb, teams are beginning to double him, he needs some help....

Hicks, Bush, we have talent...... We need more but more over a coordinator who puts them In the right position not to look like asses......

This except, we have no NT on the roster, so we go FA/ and draft to get 1 0r 2. Anyone we have as NT would be disastrous.

Why does everyone say this??? Broderick Bunkley was DOMINATE as NT in Denver. What he may lack in size, he makes up for in strength. Give the guy a chance before we start saying we have no NT.

Chances are to get in the NFL. Im not willing to take the chance that he does not work out and the DE folds, and the Gaps collaps, just because I wanted to give Bunkley a chance. He's not a pure NT.

We can FA a professional NT and use him as second, but Im not willing to bet a season because he might work out.

Based on our current roster but frankly I am scared as hell of fielding that as a starting lineup. I am also going with Will Smith and Jonathan Vilma as guaranteed cuts. Gallette and Wilson are decent OLB depth but if they are starters we are in trouble.
