The Ravens have decided to show gratitude to New Orleans with a gift. And the gift, we’re told, is a pair of 2013 Harley Davidson FLHP motorcycles, donated by the team to the New Orleans Police Department Traffic Division. The announcement will be made by receiver Jacoby Jones at a Wednesday morning press conference. The Ravens also have purchased an advertisement in the New Orleans Times-Picayune expressing thanks “to the citizens of New Orleans, including your outstanding police department, for your warm reception and first-class service to Ravens players, coaches and fans.” It’s a unprecedented gesture by the Super Bowl-winning team to the host city, and we have a feeling it will become a trend. Especially if the Ravens can repeat. |
