They worked on this deal the whole of yesterday, which explains the lack of moves by the Saints' front office on the first day of free agency.

Re: Saints Sign Long Snapper Justin Drescher
I don't know much about this guy. Ok he's a long snapper but does he play Guard, center or tackle the other 95% of the time?

He drinks gatorade on the sidelines 99% of the time - I can't even remember him taking snaps in the preseason for any other purpose than to be the LS. |

Re: Saints Sign Long Snapper Justin Drescher
Thats a resigning. A good one. We haven't had any problems with the longsnaps and I expect that to continue.
Special teams signings are always unsexy (unless its a great returner) but still very important to the longterm succes of a team. |
Re: Saints Sign Long Snapper Justin Drescher
in other news Bernard Pollard was just released by the Ravens. Wouldn't mind giving him a look see.

Re: Saints Sign Long Snapper Justin Drescher
When you don't hear his name called, he's doing a good job.
He's too small to play guard or tackle. The last thing we need is bad punt snaps while deep in our own territory. Or 3 points not hitting the board on what should be an easy chip shot field goal. He's a specialist like the punter or kicker. Good that they've put this piece of the puzzle in its place. |
