Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
Just keep looking Ed. The pot is at the end of the rainbow. I lost me lucky charms.

Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
Aren't we all looking for $7 million?

Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
I would think that takes us out of the running for his services.
To be honest, I would have rather us give Reed the money that we gave Lewis, and sign a few pass rushers. Reed would have given us the one thing we have lacked since the super bowl run... a true ball hawk in the secondary. I think we need to get back to what made us successful defensively... hit the quarterback, and turn the offense over. We can stay somewhere in the 20's in total defense, but when your turnover margin is a +10 to 15 your going to win games with the kind of offense we have. Lets play opportunistic defense again! |
Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
I was thinking around 4 million.

Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
Oh we'll count us out

Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
$7M is just way too much for the Saints with their cap situation, and the safety position is already set, so either Jenkins or Harper would need to give up their starter roles and both would still be paid like one.
I'd much rather add depth to the CB position if another FA DB is going to be brought in before the draft. |
Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
If I'm gonna burn another 7 million on a 2013 free agent, his name better end in DE/DT/LT/OLB

Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
We don't value him that much..............just an educated guess. But Loomis doesn't like to over pay unless it's Drew.

Re: Ed Reed looking for 7 million a year
So Ed Reed took 4-mil for two years from the Texans. Anyone angry yet? Or are we still good with Jenkins?
