He looks determined... and he's drafting a LT... after seeing the vids.

Really liked how he spoke about the big picture when it came to Drew. Far too may short-sighted fans. Basically you start trying to create more than is there because you have to.

Something I've been saying, they need a Left Tackle. He was asked a question as to what keeps him up at night his answer OLB, LT. Don't be surprised if they don't sign a LT and draft an OLB for some pass rush that we haven't had in a while.

Payton told holder that two things keep him awake at night.
@LarryHolder: Two things that keep Payton up at night: how can the #Saints improve at pass rush and who's going to play left tackle. |

Wow, that's the same thing that keeps me up at night.

Re: Sean Payton on why Saints moved to 3-4 defense
I didn't see the video, but running a 3-4 adds a couple more LB's and a couple less D-linemen to the roster.
LB's are typically excellent special teams players. We certainly could use some ST upgrades. |

Re: Sean Payton on why Saints moved to 3-4 defense
I think Gregg Williams ability to switch into 3-4 packages is what prompted Payton to make the change.
It was the 3-4 packages Williams did that showed the most success on the defense even with the personel out there. That was also true to the 3-3-5 which is what the Saints ran in the SB as well. If I am not mistaken, the 2010 season where the Saints defense was ranked Top 10 actually, most of that seasons scheme was 3-4. |
