In the era of free agency, its a self-correcting problem.

Other teams will lure away their best players over time.

Remember, they got this much talent by finishing poorly for many years and drafting well. And both of their QB's will demand huge paydays in a few years.

As we found out, its easier to be the hunter than it is the hunted.

the players getting the most attention was special teams? we had the best. plenty of 3 and outs to practice with. hell ESPN labeled us the most knowledgeable fans in the NFL i think that bit was in the 70's or 80's. Every two to three years we would get another phase of the game to study. we were never distracted by the others phases of the game because well they suxed.
