Re: Trade down scenarios
You must have saw this on path to the draft...
I like it. Although I would be more interested in the safeties... Reed or Cyprien. Heck, we may as well go all the way and really give the secondary a new look. |
Re: Trade down scenarios
Fluker would not be there at 31 I imagine. If we want him than he needs to be the pick at 15

Re: Trade down scenarios
I DON'T KNOW WHO THE DATONE JONES GUY BUT WE DON'T NEED TO DRAFT D LINE THAT HIGH! Maybe an olb, cb, safety or lt. It'll probably be that unless StarL. falls he'd be a steal at 15. But he's an exception! But we need difference makers and i see Datone Jones more solid than dynamic! Margus Hunt scares me cause he could be a bad bust or a superstar who knows nobody has been his size and played d line plus short arms for 6'8 and so I'm not sure backup plan as an offensive tackle is a possibility. BEING TALL IS A DISADVANTAGE BEING A DEFENSIVE LINEMAN #LEVERAGE LOW MAN WINS! Also I love B Williams he'll be there in the 3rd hopefully! But we have to trade a couple players for some picks! I would only trade down for a haul!

Re: Trade down scenarios
With the depth in this draft there is very little drop off in the quality of players from 15 to 32. Not having a 2nd rd Pick really sucks
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
I DIDN'T EVEN LOOK YOUR DREAMING IF YOU THINK Brandon Williams will be there in 5th rd he's a 1st rd talent from small school like Robert Alford who I Love for the Saints if we can get a 2nd rd pick , but Williams is maybe going to fall to the 3rd rd!
My mock would go either first by trading a rb we have Cadet whose ready to blossom like Ivory this yr! So trade Ivory for a 2nd or 3rd or you cld go big and trade Ingram if value is there! So there is my 2nd rd pick and trading R. Harper is going to give me a 5th! |

Re: Trade down scenarios
Ivory wouldn't. bring any thing more than a 4th if that.
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
I just don't think Harper is tradable. But, if we can get an extra few picks... mainly a second, we can draft a safety like Reed (late 1st) or Cyprien (2nd round... if we can acquire one).
You can replace Harper with Jenkins. We need more of a coverage strong safety anyway. A part of me really does hope we can trade down in this draft. I think we can get more value later in the first round. |

I'd never take Datone Jones at 15 you are right to high.... but I am talking about trading out of 15 which seem all to easy right now.... Minnesota you could straight pick, or you maybe able to get extra picks from San Fran who is a likely partner... Datone is your guy in that setup, I come back in the second grab my FS Baccarri Rambo (Georgia) and grab my left Tackle in the third Terron Armstead!!! |
Re: Trade down scenarios
What's the chance of them taking Tavon Austin or the safety from texas Vaccaro if there at 15?
They have been known to take the best player available and it almost for sure that the 3 coveted LT's won't be there, just asking for everyone's thoughts. |
Re: Trade down scenarios

Vaccaro makes more sense, though. With that said, the best thing to do is skip these guys and trade down. |
We use out first round on Mingo.
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
i really hate round one all together. everyone needs to move down 10 picks or so. there are 2 maybe 3 players that really belong in the top ten.
trade if you can and if you can not thank god for the new draft salary set up. |
Re: Trade down scenarios
Not having a second rd pick is a particularly bitter pill to swallow in this draft. Because of the depth of defensive players and our pressing needs it is possible that we could really benefit trading down and recouping a 2nd rd pick.
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
If we come away from the draft with Rambo and a LT I'll be stoked.
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
I'd prefer the second option. Only drawback is dealing with that POS in San Fran.
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
Bengals have two 2nd rd Picks and need a safety. Swap#15 for #20 and # 52 Pick A.Ogletree and J Collins. Dome Patrol? ?
J Jenkins NT@#75 T.Matthieu @#109 D. Williams S@#144 C.Hamilton WR? 183 S |
Re: Trade down scenarios
I don't know why the love fest around here for Bacarri Rambo. It must be the name. IMO, they're about 5 or 6 better safeties in this draft. Some can be had in the 3rd or even 4th rounds.
|
Re: Trade down scenarios
Bengals are a solid option. they are hungry. Knocked out of the playoffs early. Young club that feel i am sure they are ready to take the next step.
Minnesota out of need is another The key is what players fall to us more than anything. |
Re: Trade down scenarios
The 49ers said to have interest in Tavon Austin. Well, how bad do you want him niners? Its gonna cost you to keep him from the Rams. we want a first, the Chiefs second and the panthers third for the 15th pick and a 5th rounder.
