Re: DLP Signs Tender
I thought the same thing OX. It just goes to show you if you can play they will find you. Glad to have you back DLP

Re: DLP Signs Tender
let see if he improves his play. nice not to have that hole to fill also

Re: DLP Signs Tender
The last two centers left via free agency when they had the chance.

Re: DLP Signs Tender
And after one left, we found another just as good if not even more effective than the previous. Interior lineman aren't that hard to find. Hiddem gems are everywhere and we do a great job finding them.

Re: DLP Signs Tender
Is it really that hard to find and groom centers? Not so much, history dictates. Same might be true for LT in the Saints' system with Drew Brees.

Re: DLP Signs Tender
Centers do more than snap and they have to be cerebral, he has to call out o-line adjustments on the line of scrimmage based on how the D lines up. He also identifies the Mike.
Even with Manning at QB, Saturday ran the entire line in Indy. |
Re: DLP Signs Tender
And lets not forget that playing between All Pro guards like Evans and Grubbs has without a doubt helped DLP perform the way he has, I doubt he would've been as good lining up to lesser talent.

Some stability on the line

Kromer + All-World OG's would help any OC rate high. I also wonder if our OG's paid more attention to helping DLP than they did helping our OT's since Drew is so successfull in sensing that outside pressure and likes to step up in the pocket. If we had a stud OC I wonder if our OG's would pay a bit more attention to outside pressure? Its hard to evaluate O-linemen individually since they are probably the one unit that plays more as a team than as individuals. |
