Mike D's early picks
THE WAR ROOM
Mike D's early picks Mike Detillier Sports Correspondent Published: Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 6:45 p.m. Last Modified: Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 6:45 p.m. The 2013 NFL draft is less than a week away so here is my take on the first round and some of the top selections in Round 2. 1. Kansas City Chiefs, Luke Joeckel, Offensive Tackle, Texas A&M 2. Jacksonville Jaguars, Shariff Floyd, Defensive Tackle, Florida 3. Oakland Raiders, Geno Smith, Quarterback, West Virginia 4. Philadelphia Eagles, Eric Fisher, Offensive Tackle, Central Michigan 5. Detroit Lions, Ezekiel Ansah, Defensive End, BYU 6. Cleveland Browns, Dee Milliner, Cornerback, Alabama 7. Arizona Cardinals, Dion Jordan, Outside Linebacker, Oregon 8. Buffalo Bills, Barkevious Mingo, Outside Linebacker, LSU 9. New York Jets, Star Lotulelei, Defensive Tackle, Utah 10. Tennessee Titans, Chance Warmack, Offensive Guard, Alabama 11. San Diego Chargers, Lane Johnson, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma 12. Miami Dolphins, Xavier Rhodes, Cornerback, Florida State 13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Desmond Trufant, Cornerback, Washington 14. Carolina Panthers, Sheldon Richardson, Defensive Tackle, Missouri 15. New Orleans Saints, Jarvis Jones, Outside Linebacker, Georgia Mike D's early picks | DailyComet.com - A tweener-type not big or strong enough to play defensive end nor quick and athletic enough to play outside linebacker. consistency with the fundamental skills?????? I am worried about how his game will translate to nfl. He has red flags all over his draft profile with various injuries. Dan Pompei of the National Football Post reported Sunday that leading orthopedist Craig Brigham concluded that Jones never had a significant spinal-cord contusion. Brigham's findings refute findings by USC doctors who diagnosed Jones with spinal stenosis in 2009. so that settles that i guess. i am not going to believe that 100% myself. But i can see the saints making this pick |
Re: Mike D's early picks
So can I. The only ? I have is between his ears.
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
see i am almost ready to avoid Georgia in the first round all together myself. i know i will get ear full with that statement. lol
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
Wow all of our preferred picks are moving up. We need to trade up.
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
I don't like Jarvis BUT I like him better than Mingo
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
well at least it was not Barkevious Mingo or Manti Te'o . i guess that is a better way of looking at it also
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
he didn't have nothing good to say bout jones, what the heck he thinks the coach is ditka. payton picks an impact player 1st pick. i don't know about your pick mike.
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
I like Jones.I don't care about his times at the combine/pro day his play on the field speaks for itself.
If the team doctors pass him if be happy with the pick. |
Re: Mike D's early picks
Geno's not going top 10.
Tampa's probably not going CB now. Jarvis Jones has bust written all over him. If the 1st 15 go like Mike predicts, its Austin or Werner I could see Rhodes or Trufant also being the pick now that Tampa landed Revis |
Re: Mike D's early picks
Agreed on Jones. The guy was dominant in the SEC every damn year and when everyone knew he was the guy to stop. I'd be happy with him.
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
The jets go CB now....and no on Jones....

Austin is first round now? Just a month agao he was considered third. |

But the draft is bland this year they had to over hype players. Austin is a game changer but since when does a specialty player go in the first round? much less the top of the first. its very rare. but if a team wants a game changing impact player he is a safe bet to be that special spark a team can use. this is a good draft for ball players it just lacks the glamor players. in other words the media is screwed this year lol. thats why Mingo and a few others will not go away. to many one trick ponies full off media hype. Heck Manti Te’o has already resurfaced in the top 15 again. lmao they have no idea who will go were and hope to be that one draft guru that guesses two or three surprise picks. to win the crown Lunch pails players from round one all the way to UDFA. i love it myself. its been a while since i could live with trading out of the first and even the second all together and still believe you will get solid players that will improve team depth as well as a good chance that two or three will develop into solid starters. |

Jets are getting Rhodes, and either Dion Jordan or Mingo.... Drop get San Frans first #31 and second round #2 picks and give me Okafor and David Amerson!!!! |
Re: Mike D's early picks
This is outdated since Tampa no longer has the number 13 pick. The Jets have that now.
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
Werner, Okafor, Moore, Amerson are over hype worthy lol
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
My skull hurts...
|
Re: Mike D's early picks
Jarvis Jones has bust written all over him.
Then he seems like the perfect draft pick to go along with all of our pother first round choices. |
