Re: It's gonna be Jarvis Jones
I think he'd make a better DE, but I'm OK with him at NT too.
The good news is we can probably do well with just another decent space eating DT, which isn't too costly and can be drafted in the mid rounds. Its the space eaters that can also pass rush that cost big money. We can rotate Bunkley and another hog on early downs, and move Hicks inside on pass rush downs. The sky is the limit for Hicks. |

Re: It's gonna be Jarvis Jones
Just like Danno I do believe Hicks is better suited to being a DE in a 3-4. I think that with his body type he could become a DE in the way of Haloti Ngata became this past season for the Ravens. Then you could rotate him to the interior for obvious passing downs while positioning him by default on the other side opposite to Jordan. I just think that Hicks doesn't have the body type to be an effective 0-gap or 1-gap NT because I don't think he can create enough leverage against most centers who tend to have lower centers of gravity - that's where someone like Bunkley will shine the brightest. But the Saints can definitely pick up a space eating NT to rotate with Bunkley with a lower round pick, and they do need to add depth to that position whether it be through the draft, veteran free agents or the UDFA pool. |

If our choices are limited and we arent high on the guys that are left, I wouldnt be suprised to see us try and trade back to get a second rounder
