Vet Left OT ?
I'd like to see the team sign a vet left OT like Bryant McKennie or Max Starks until Terron Armstead is ready to assume the starting role. Just a thought ...

Re: Vet Left OT ?
Don't see that happening. I actually Think the coaches are pretty happy with what we have and will let the guys fight for the spot.

Re: Vet Left OT ?
They already signed a vet FA LT.
McKinnie and Starks are the wrong type of LTs and wouldn't really fit into the Saints' O-line blocking scheme as they are far too immobile. |
Re: Vet Left OT ?
Let them fight it out in camp.......someone will step up.

Re: Vet Left OT ?
Not enough Dough

Re: Vet Left OT ?
If they want them, they would have sign one of them.
|
Re: Vet Left OT ?
They already have, Jason Smith.

Re: Vet Left OT ?

Re: Vet Left OT ?
Its Brown until he gets injured, then Smith, then Jones, then Strief, then Armstead
|
Re: Vet Left OT ?
I'd say it Brown job to lose.

Re: Vet Left OT ?
Look ya'll why are ya'll worried about a tackle! We got like 6 of them and 4 of them are capable right now with another "armstead" learning the Playbook! I will say this 1 more time Drew is very I mean Very good at manipulating the pocket so as long as our gaurds and center can give him 2.5 seconds he is Golden! Ya'll are like a little kid who is scared to let his dad let go of the bike when he is learning how to ride! I mean damn let these guys have a shot I actually think Bushrod was way overrated I mean way overrated! I watched the probowl and he got beat on every snap this year and the defense doesn't even try at the probowl! I believe these young hungry Tackles at position war is exactly what our training camp needs as a matter of fact if you've listened to Sean and Drew they are opening up competition at all positions except for starting QB! It will be the best training camp since probably our SB run yr in '09the maybe the best since Sean and Drew been here because Sean got a very raw, unattached, and objective view of the team's characteristics and weaknesses! So I do see a very competitive and disciplined training camp and offseason! So get ready I see us dominating! I believe the only teams that are on our level is SF, Seattle, Atl, GB, NE, Balt, Pitt, and fringe teams that can go either way KC, TB, Chi, NYG, and Hou!

Re: Vet Left OT ?
ok list all the ones that have not spent time on IR or been freshman red shirts
bring 10 more healthy ones and keep the best cut the rest i do not care. Protect Drew at all cost. |
Re: Vet Left OT ?
Brown can be an adequate LT. He just needs to stay healthy. Smith is the wildcard. This guy was the second pick of the draft. What is his disfunction.l? I am hoping Armestead surprises and starts as a rookie.

Traded to the Jets in '12, released and signed with us this offseason... Jason Smith (American football) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |
Re: Vet Left OT ?
I don't know about ya'll but I'm excited about Jason Smith. This may be just the place where he can thrive in a system. His career seems to have taken a down turn after his concussion. Hopefully, he's past that and can be a back up to Brown. Heck, in training camp he might just take the starting LT spot. Move Brown to RT if that happens.

Re: Vet Left OT ?
Ready to see our LT battle n training camp Sean and the coaching staff will make the right decision For who is starter ! No need n signing a veteran LT
