ULM WR Brent Leonard to try out with Saints
 

MONROE, La. - Former Louisiana-Monroe wide receiver Brent Leonard has decided to accept a tryout with the New Orleans Saints next weekend, rather than trying out with the Dallas Cowboys as he initially planned.

ULM officials announced the change Friday for Leonard, who was the Warhawks' leading receiver last season with 104 catches for 1,118 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Leonard is due in New Orleans on Thursday to meet with coaches in advance of Saints rookie camp practices, which run May 10-12.

As a ULM Alumni I like this. The guy has really good hands. Watched him play a lot over the last 4 years.

Watched him play live several times. He has speed and has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. He was Kolton Brownings security blanket. Could definitely be a Wes Welker type player in the NFL.

I'm biased being an ULM student but I've watched pretty much every game and the guy has SEC talent. I think he'd be a great back-up.

i think that was more in the spirit of white men can not jump type of things. nothing to serious.

I do like the jogging rebuttal though, i have been told that one once or twice when i played. 4.55 guy that i was ok 4.6

Later I proved but i could out jump the smart a$$es
