More BAD LUCK for Carolina
By JENNA FRYER, AP Sports Writer
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Carolina Panthers (news) have not had a very good week: Running back Stephen Davis was lost Friday with a knee injury, just days after star receiver Steve Smith broke his leg. Davis and Smith are the defending NFC champions' top two offensive threats. Davis, who ran for a career-best 1,444 yards last season, began having problems with his knee after practice Thursday, and an MRI showed "a small cartilage problem," coach John Fox said Friday. He had arthroscopic surgery Friday, and will miss Sunday's game at Kansas City. The Panthers said he would be out two to five weeks. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...panthers_davis |
More BAD LUCK for Carolina
Both Smith and Davis will be back by the time we play them, but it feels good to have this happen to someone else.

More BAD LUCK for Carolina
Indeed. I just wonder what the \"there\'s no such thing as bad luck\" proponents have to say about this most recent development.

More BAD LUCK for Carolina
Just as you are Saintfan, I await the arrival of someone who believes bad luck is no luck at all?

More BAD LUCK for Carolina
Davis still won\'t be 100 percent when we play Carolina that is still good.

I guess now we\'ll see if Deshaun Foster is the real deal or not. He looked pretty good when he played last year.
