NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
No Drew Brees? Really???
|
Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
The original air date was like 2009 or 2010 so Drew's 2011 season had yet to happen
|
Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
The Original Air Date was December 3, 2011...
Drew Brees threw for 5,069 Passing yards, coming within a Marques Colston drop of breaking the then Marino record which was eventually broke a few years later (Any drop that season really cost the Team the record - Love Me Some Colston, Geaux C). Brees also tied for the league lead with Rivers for PaTD. Hard to understand how that season wasn't mentioned at that air date. But ESPN is a bunch of New York Queens Blowhardts or Suckups to same... So we basically have to whoop their @$$e$ and take back the Trophy and show them how to party with Mardi Gras! |

Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
Had Drew played for NE, Dallas or any of the NY teams he's be the best in the world.
New Orleans isn't a big deal until we thunder punch people in thier face this year. |

I remember discussing the record when a Marques Colston drop occured; that's why I say any drop that season cost the Team the record...
But if it was Lance, then we should trade his @$$!!! ;) |

Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
I just don't understand how a small market team can compete with the big markets for that kind of air time much less football..................

Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
Just found this thread.. The top 10 passing seasons is on NFL network right now.
They actually do have 2011 Brees on the list, he just doesn't have his own spot. He was mentioned on the #9 spot bunched with a couple other QBs. #9 on that list was named "The QBs of 2011" |
Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
2011 Saints are the Greatest Offense of ALL TIME PERIOD. If they want to look at different aspects of it so be it but it does not change
the above fact. Drew Brees led the most explosive offense in the NFL to a 13-3 record this season and an NFC South title. Brees broke Dan Marino’s passing record, throwing for 5,476 yards and forty-six touchdowns. Brees also set NFL records for most completions in a season with 468, most 300-plus yard passing games in a season with 13, most 350-plus yard passing games with four, and a 71.2 percent completion percentage. |

We do have a statistical advantage over the 07 Patriots, but numbers don't tell the whole story. |

"During the 18 week, 4 day period, there was no free agency and training camp, and players were restricted from seeing team doctors, entering or working out at team facilities, or communicating with coaches." That's a fact. The lockout actually happened, and it ran into training camp and other OTAs. How in the world does that even sound remotely similar to Falcon fan conspiracies? Do you honestly believe the players didn't miss a beat, even though they didn't have those practices in April/May/June/majority of July? That sounds highly improbable. |

Total points scored: 2007 Patriots: 589 2011 Saints: 547 I'm really not sure why you are getting on my case though. I said the 2011 Saints offense is one of the best I've seen. Top 3, even. Just looking at it objectively, I can't call it #1. And you're getting on my case because I'm calling the 2011 Saints offense one of the best in NFL history? Really? Read this article. I realize it's from BleacherReport, but it still explains how defenses suffered from the lockout. NFL 2011: In the Post-Lockout Era, Lack of Defense, Injuries Plague the Season | Bleacher Report |
Re: NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons
NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons . The identifier is passing, not points. Your going to have to create another thread.
Speaking of the lockout as a * we might as well do the same thing for Spygate which is also another fact. I would say bounty gate but nothing was ever proven beyond he said she said. It's not like buckets of evidence had to be destroyed or anything like Spygate. |

B/R is usually a pretty bad site, but I think that particular article proves its point fairly well. I'm not basing my opinion off that article, fwiw. I didn't even know that article existed until today. |
