New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is easily the most indispensible player on the team's roster.

But trying to find the most essential player on the other side of the ball may not be so easy. The Saints are coming off a season in which the defense yielded the most yards in NFL history, so no player truly shined.

However, this offseason the Saints have tried to revamp their defense, bringing in a new defensive coordinator (Rob Ryan), switching to a 3-4 scheme and signing free agents Keenan Lewis and Victor Butler and drafting Kenny Vaccaro.

Those new players will be asked to mix with holdovers like Curtis Lofton, Jabari Greer, Jonathan Vilma, Cameron Jordan, Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkins.

But the question remains: Who is the most indispensable defensive player on the Saints' roster?

I thought this was a really interesting question and I'm curious what everyone has to say.

I'd vote no one. No one has proven on our roster to be a game breaker as of yet. There's certainly some interesting young talent here, but as of now, I don't see anyone as being indispensable or irreplaceable. Hopefully Cam Jordan can eventually become that type of guy... but not now, not yet.
