Who Is The Who Is The Most Professional Saint Besides Drew Brees?
 

Who is the most professional player on the Saints team? Most folks would say Drew Brees so I decided to take him out of the equation.
Who leads by example both on and off the field? Who represents what this team is about in your opinion and why? Who do you think is the most professional Saint?

We have several good players to choose from. New Orleans has brought in players with very high character and moral fibre.

I am casting my vote for Jonathan Vilma. No one has held his head higher or carried himself better under the past years struggles. He is the defensive leader and makes the calls on defense when he is on the field. And his charity work is done world wide. He is not my favorite Saint but to me he is the most professional.

there you have it... a team built on character.

sure, humanity dictates that a joe morgan falls off the wagon, but that doesn't mean the entire organization is designed around a higher standard.

On the field I like the way Marques Colston constantly gets it done and doesn't draw attention to himself (unlike so many receivers).

Vilma is a vocal leader and has done some good charity work.

Vima and Colston are obvious candidates. Both are standouts on the field and are looked to for leadership. Another that probably doesn't immediately spring to mind but who should be in the conversation is Zach Strief. He came in as an unknown 7th rd pick and carved out a nice career playing along the line and performing well when called on. Now he's the undisputed starter at RT and a team leader. He's also active in the community and is highly respected by his team mates and coaches. Guys like this who don't necessarily have greatest talent but manage to hang with the big boys on determination and craftsmanship deserve nothing but respect.

I suppose fandom is a pretty broad concept. Let's just say that I have people who pay attention to some of the things I do and say, though their motives are not clear about why. Employees excepted, of course. Any leveraged relationship cannot, by definition, be a true fan.

Shanle comes to mind. He never had great physical Tools for an NFL player, he is a freak among ordinary people. But worked hard and made plays and kept his roster spot against all competition up until this year.
