NFL Announces New Bag Policy to Improve Public Safety at Games
NFL Announces New Bag Policy to Improve Public Safety at Games
To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the New Orleans Saints announced today an NFL policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium. The NFL Committee on Stadium Security in May unanimously recommended the implementation of this measure that will enhance public safety and make it easier for fans to gain access in all stadiums. It was discussed with all clubs at the May league meeting and will be implemented at all NFL stadiums beginning with preseason games. (Basically the NFL doesn't want any of you Irish Channel nor Metry Terrorists smuggling in your own water and liquor when they can charge you DisneyWorld Prices for Same) |

Probably more about what you said than safety.

They will have to carry their airplane bottles somewhere else.
Safety issue? No. Revenue issue. Yes. |
Re: NFL Announces New Bag Policy to Improve Public Safety at Games
Just allow me to bring a bag large enough to throw up into in case I see Goodell in the stadium.

I read somewhere the Theatres get zero from ticket sales. All of their revenue comes from concessions. Not sure if true tho. It'll force more and more people to watch movies at home. Just as these types of policies will make gameday much more enjoyable viewing on the my screen, cooking out, no waiting for the restroom, affordable munchies and ice cold beverages of choice, no traffic, no long lines, no beer cut-off in the 4th quarter, no designated drivers, no drunk annoying jerks making asses of themselves and starting fights. Gimme one live game per year and I'm fine with watching the rest at home. |

Re: NFL Announces New Bag Policy to Improve Public Safety at Games
This is the real reason: $$$$$$$$$$
Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12." (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags are available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com) This will not speed up entry. The folks in "violation" will have the opportunity to purchase an official cheap piece of crap NFL bag for (speculation) $25. Follow the $ folks.......... Sacrificing Liberty for the illusion of safety is courting Tyranny. |

Re: NFL Announces New Bag Policy to Improve Public Safety at Games
The second part of this new bag policy requires that matt Ryan wear a bag over his head... this will increase his pass accuracy and relieve the nausea suffered by the TV audience

This is going to be a total fiasco. The idiots who work for "Fess Security" can't even get people in the Dome before kickoff, on a good day in a preseason game.

Between the 'Patriot' Act and watching your date get felt up by a privatized cop, I fear Nikita Khrushchev may prove to be right and that a shot will not have to be fired...
