The curse continues...
Was searching for rumors on the McKenzie situation and found this. Apparently the curse of ex-Saints players missing significant time with their new club this year continues. In other news: mysterious rose fragrance reported coming from front office of Saint's headquarters.

Comes to camp at a disappointing 380 lbs, then dislocates a kneecap.
I wonder what may have been a contributing factor to that? Weight, I think I know the answer. Lets hope Sullivan doesn\'t turn into Grady Jackson. I\'m afraid he may be on that path. |

Why can\'t you simply deal with something head on minus the spin? Riddle me that? LMAO |

No one ever said Grady was God\'s gift, but I will say I TOLD YOU SO AGAIN!!! Consider - the Saints keep Grady at league minimum and use their two first rounders to pick Trufant instead of Sully. What changes?? The secondary is improved, you don\'t have to give up two picks and more money than Trufant is gettnig paid to find a guy like McKenzie, and your line play is no worse, as Sullivan certainly hasn\'t played much better that Grady since he got here, now has he? Instead, you wasted two first rounders on Sullivan, overpaid him, and have a hole in your secondary that requires you to part with more picks and money than you would have had to give up to get a young talent who is proving himself game in and game out in Seattle. Yeah, you\'re right, this way is better. :casstet:
But hey, since I\'m such a spin artist, can you please tell me why the Saints are better off this way? (here comes the cancer argument... again....) |

Ravens do it with the xtra lunch bunch , and Hasbeen has to go out and get a lard butt for the line , of course in his infinite stupidity he forgot a Ray Lewis type linebacker in the equation ..... This years theme , keep the current players and do not let another ex-Saint take another team to the play offs ..... [Edited on 26/9/2004 by saintz08] |

What, precisely, \"AT THE TIME\" was it that you said that was \"right\"? Do tell. |

1) We should have drafted Trufant.
2) Grady was not the cancer that Haslett made him out to be (though there were definitely some problems). The guy had talent and could be a contributor for less money in a rotation than could the other alternatives we had midseason that year or for the Georgia D-linemen I joked about us drafting. Oops, not such a joke huh? What is most fun for me is how you always have me defending my mostly right or right positions. Didn\'t you think that the Sullivan move was a great on and didn\'t you tell us all that we didn\'t need a CB this offseason... and last offseason... and the offseason before that? Explain that logic for me would you? ;) |

I would have liked to have Trufant. Sully hasnt\' worked out...so far. On this we agree, but I didn\'t see into the future regarding Grady Jackson scenario you described, and I don\'t beleive you did either. ;) |

OK Saintfan, I was 100% in theory and 50% right in practice. I\'ll take that over 0% right anyday.
