Re: 5 Bold Predictions for The UpComing Season

I can only be optimistic about the defense simply because it can't get any worse. If nothing else happens this year at least we can be entertained by the growth of the new D.

Pierre, like always, will show that he is and always really has been the starting RB.

I think Stills will play, but he's not gonna be an immediate impact player. I see him progressing well as the season unfolds.

Drew will throw way less interceptions.

1. Rob Ryan is mostly talk. I will believe it when I see it

3. JG may be the closest thing to accuracy by the OP but I get the feeling he has become a lttle gun shy

4. Rufus will not see that much playing time this season unless our LB corp is all injured

5. Kenny Stills will see less playing time than Rufus

Re: 5 Bold Predictions for The UpComing Season

We will have the number one defense and offense in the NFL and the D will produce the most turnovers in the League

Brees will throw for 6k yds, lead the league in TDs, and throw 0 interceptions.

Ingram will break the 2500 yd mark by mid season.

Kenny Stills decapatates Matt Ryan.

We blow out every team in the playoffs and the SB

We all win 40 million dollars

1. Late October we will all be sitting here backslapping each other about the defense
2. The Ryan defense will get back into that thing of, making a handful of plays AT THE RIGHT TIME
3. Jimmy Graham runs wild, breaks all kinds of records at his position
4. I predict Sean Payton drives opponents absolutely CRAZY with the trick plays, fake punts, gadget plays, taking time outs just to yell at refs, the game-planning craziness, mismatches, touchdown passes to fullbacks, tackle eligible, flea flicker, etc. etc. We will all be laughing in the stands, watching the mad scientist back at work
5. I don't like to talk smack, and I know this flies against all logic, I know that people like to say that division games are supposed to be close -- but I FIRMLY believe that the Falcons opener is gonna be a complete total shellacking, the birds will be roasted. It will be one of those textbook Payton games for the AGES, like New England in '09, the Cowboys in '08, the Colts, or the various times we've stomped the Giants. My reason is that I just think it's a classic matchup of an over rated, over confident team with self-doubts (Falcons), going against an under rated, hungry team with confidence and swagger (Saints), and I think the Falcons' weaknesses will be EXPOSED. I have a feeling in my bones, in my gut, this one's not even gonna be close! Too many things in our favor. Plus we're overdue -- it's been a while since Payton and the Saints put a complete textbook nationwide a-whupping on an opponent who was supposed to be the bees knees. I think Sean Payton is determined to put himself back on the coaching map in a big way, starting Week 1. Not just a win, but a win that people will be talking about all week. Like when we beat them so bad in 2007 that their coach quit.
