Drew threw 19 picks. I'm surprised he wasn't lower. We all know he's better then Matt Ryan. But if you go off last year, when Drew threw 5 picks in a game where the defense actually showed up then Jaws has credibility.

The last time Payton coached us we won 13 games, and our defense has much more talent now.

13 wins isn't some pie in the sky dream. Been there, done it, and we're even better now.

What the hell are you talking about? We picked up one of the top free agent corners, who led the NFL in pass deflections last year.

We drafted the #1 safety in the draft...

We drafted a projected first round NT in the 3rd round...

We're moving back to man coverage scheme, which suits our DB's better...

Plus we're moving to a 3-4 scheme which suits many of our front 7 better...

In 2011 we ranked 13th in points allowed, the Falcons ranked 18th, and we swept you as well.

And pointing out that we had the 13th ranked defense in 2011 doesn't have much to do with the Falcons. It simply points out how we weren't the "F" team you suggested.

I can see comprehension, much like Falcon postseason success, is still a mystery you.

The Saints defense of 2012 was inadequate. However, we've improved at every level of the defense. Akiem Hicks did well as a rookie, and should be an improvement. Cam Jordan had 8 sacks and was excellent against the run. Now he's back in the 3-4. Broderick Bunkley was the #1 rated DT when he played in the 3-4. We drafted John Jenkins, a 1st round talent from Georgia.

We have two tremendous leaders in Curtis Lofton and Johnathan Vilma. Junior Gallette and Martez Wilson have both proven to be able to get to the QB, racking up sacks in back up roles.

We drafted Kenny Vacarro and signed Keenan Lewis, as well as returning to a man to man scheme which will greatly benefit Pat Robinson and Jabari Greer. We're now running a system that better fits out personnel.

So, with al that said, its more then safe to say the defense will improve. We won a Super Bow with a lot of these players, and actually have a much more talented defensive roster then we did when we won it all.

You couple that with the fact our offense will more then likely be top 3 as always and you have a dangerous team. Just like we've been for the past 7 or 8 years.

Now you have the Falcons, who got weaker on the o-line and secondary. Then replaces their best pass rusher with a washed up, never healthy Osi Umenyiora, who I don't believe was even a starter on the Giants last year. So if you believe the Falcons can win it all, there's no reason to doubt the Saints, whom have the Falcons number. If you aren't a "homer" you can't deny that either.

Fear of what? A team that will fold like a wet paper bag come playoff time or a team whose defense has the worst secondary in their division and that's including the Saints own red headed step child twins at safety. Continue to think the Falcons are actually in the Saints league and come see us come January, where the Saints will have HFA and the Falcons will be at home

Again, some of those same guys played on the 2011 defense that finished ranked 13th. And we have much beter talent now than we did then.

The only old players we have are Vilma (if you consider 31 old) and Smith. The vast majority are up and coming or still in their prime.

Let's see: Galette, Wilson, Robinson, Jenkins, Quddus, Jordan and Humber are just hitting their prime since the 2011 season...

Then you have Greer, Smith, Harper, and Vilma who maybe on the downside of their career but who are still very capable players...

That's pretty much the whole starting defense, your argument is invalid

Cam Newton isn't even the best QUARTERBACK in the division. Yes, he's dangerous. But give me a break. Best player? LMAO. Not to mention his only target is Steve Smith; and they're secondary is horrible in a division where the two best teams air it out all day.
