From the updates I've seen the defense is kicking major ass! Junior is emphatically staking his claim to starting at that LB spot. Also, Eric Martin knocked Cadet out of the scrimmage on a special teams play with a big hit and forced Ingram to fumble on another play.

I'm definitely getting excited! Even David Hawthorne snagged an interception from Luke McCown. Very good signs that this defense is pissed and Rob Ryan hasn't done too shabby of a job.

I just dont think Jr is the type to be a full time, every snap kind of Lber. I hope Wilson can shine just as well when he gets healthy.

My assessment of Junior is that he didn't look good against the run in the 4-3, but he'll fair much better against the run in the 3-4. I believe he'll be able to utilize his speed and quickness much better standing up, seeing that he was undersized at defensive end.

He'll probably have around 10 to 13 sacks this year, especially if he steals the starting job from Will Smith. I get mad everytime I think about Smith starting at linebacker. I'm much more questionable of him then Junior Gallette.

Junior reminds me of James Harrison. The UDFA that turns into a star. People didn't think Harrison would be a every down player either.

sacks are not my concern with him. run support and pass coverage are.

I don't think he'll do too much pass coverage except the flats or a small little bubble zone.
