Possible Away Jersey Change
 

In the official team's shop there are only 2 Elite jerseys, a home Brees and an away Brees. ( Saints Authentic Jerseys | Authentic, Mens, Womens, Kids Jerseys - New Orleans Saints Store )

If you look closely, the away jersey has a gold FDL on it. The away jerseys, of course, normally have black FDLs.

If you look around the rest of the store, it looks like all the other jerseys are last year's (especially with out-dated numbers for Ingram, etc.). It's possible that the Brees jerseys are the only new jerseys made at the moment.

It's also possible that they completely botched the away jerseys and we could be paying over $300 for some messed-up jerseys.


Anyone know anything about it? Maybe we'll find out on Friday?

No clue. But why buy a jersey for 300 when you go on to eBay & get awesome jerseys (stitched name, numbers, patches, etc.) for under 100. Just check the sellers rating & be smart about it.

I'd pay $300 because I don't Believe in copyright infringment. And no, I don't download music or Movies either.

Well, my primary concern is whether or not they changed the jersey because I'm a uniform nut. For most people this is a subtle change, but to me, it's huge.

I would say if the NFL shop has the black FDL for the away that is what will be the jersey.

If you look very closely at the FDL on the link you posted it is embroidered and the game Jerseys typically do not have embroidered Logos. Someone used the wrong photo.

I think it might be a promotional specialty jersey. Sometimes they make it to the field, sometimes not.

I luv that white jersey. I hated the gold jersey from 10 years ago.

Yeah sorry to go OT. It sure looks like they have changed the color of the FDL. To the better I would say.

I also agree that the gold FDL looks better on the away jerseys. (As long as they don't put black on black or gold on gold, I'm generally OK. I hate when people use images of our gold helmet with the gold logo on it - even ESPN has done it.)

Anyways, I've also emailed the shop about it, but they have not answered.


As someone else said in this thread, it's also very possible that someone just used the wrong pic.

Well, there were black FDLs on the away jerseys last night, which leads me to believe that they didn't make the change to gold.

I guess the only other options are that they used a wrong picture or that they legitimately botched those jerseys. Having the official team shop sell a botched jersey for $325 is pretty embarrassing.
