New NFL security restrictions at the Superdome
 

Friday night Saints fans will encounter new NFL security restrictions on what you can bring into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Easing the way a bit for season ticket holders, the team has been offering up a free "approved" clear plastic bag with the NFL logo. People can pick them up at Saints camp as long as supplies last.

Under the new restrictions adopted by NFL owners, you can no longer bring in things like big purses, backpacks, briefcases or camera bags.

Instead, small, hand-sized clutch purses are okay as well as clear plastic or vinyl bags that are no bigger than 12 X 12.

The goal is to speed up security checks going into stadiums.

Honestly "Goodell Suck"s on one side and "Falcons Suck" on the other side of the same bag would by my choice for ALL games.

Even when we play the 49ers those two statements still hold true. :-)

Yeah, the owners are afraid....................afraid that the peasants(fans) will sneak in their own food and drink and not pay ten to twenty times market value.

It's to prevent another "Boston Marathon", proof that freedom isn't free.

Actually it's not about that, at all, since unlike the Boston Marathon, all bags were already searched before entering the NFL stadium. This move is to sell thousands and thousands of plastic bags with the NFL and team logos on them

These bags are clear plastic like a Ziploc bag. They are made in China and they literally cost pennies to make. They sell for $9.99 + tax and shipping. It's a gold mine for the league. 3000% profit margin.
