Saints vs Raiders 7Pm Cent Friday
 

The second preseason game should be a prelude to understanding whether our defense can adjust, and see if they learned anything from being "on their heals" against the Chiefs in the first drive.


Hopefully we will get to see some PT, and a few other players that didn't participate in the first preseason game.


Who are you going to be watching specifically this week?

Multiple votes are allowed... I would hate for you to feel empty inside if you voted defense and the offense was on the field.

I voted Linebackers; mainly the #1s... We've already witnessed the adjustments in the first game, between the Chiefs 1st/2nd offensive possession.

And to a lesser extent, the offense. See if the #1s can get started earlier than the last game.

I also voted linebackers. To me that unit is the biggest question mark.

I voted adjustments and 2-4 string wide receivers. I want to see those WR hold onto passes they dropped against KC and I want to see the adjustments made on Defense, in some cases those defensive adjustments may mean swapping out LBs who are fit for purpose depending on down and distance.

LB'ers and D adjustments is what I'm watching for. I'll keep a lazy eye on the 2-4 WR's too.

I'm gonna focus on the entire front 7, then re-watch it several times play by play to see the studs and duds. I've re-watched the KC game about 5 or 6 times already. Yeah I know... I need to get a life. By the way, Will Smith looks slow every time I re-watch it.

Its hard to focus on Special teams because 1/2 the players on it won't be on the 53.

I will be watching the injury wire for other teams DE's, in other games, because that's likely the only way we can conceivably get rid of Will Smith in a trade....there's still a chance that someone might be hard-up and need to trade for him, if it's an emergency or if some other team is in WIN NOW mode and need a serviceable-not-great 4-3 DE as a desperate fix, to get them over the hump for one year....stranger things have happened.
