Jimmy Graham Struggling With Dropped Passes

Time for Big Ben Watson to mentor Jimmy!
*********************************************************
New Orleans Saints star tight end Jimmy Graham has been struggling with the case of the dropsies in camp. He had some issues with it last season as well, so it will be something that we all keep our eyes on.

From New Orleans Times-Picayune:

The Saints’ tight end has continued to struggle with occasional dropped balls during training camp — a problem that plagued him last season. Graham dropped two passes Monday, one in team drills and one in 7-on-7 (though one could have been considered a pass break up).

With the mess at wide receiver for the Saints, Graham will be the focus of the passing attack. He is going to get a ton of plays going in his direction and will be the focus in the red zone and on 3rd down. Dropped passes on those situations are killer. Graham has to keep his focus and bring that football in.

Drop down and give me some push ups boy.

And everyone tried to blame it on the wrist, he just loses concentration and takes his eyes off the ball before it arrives

Really hoping we established the run attack early. He'll get more space and stay healthy.

Jimbo better fix it, we have two TE now.

Maybe he ought to take a page from Tanner's bag of tricks.....catching bricks.

Re: Jimmy Graham Struggling With Dropped Passes

Its not like he has Sanchez or Gabbert throwing him ducks. Jimmyah better pick it up or he'll never see that big contract his AGENT is asking for. Grinds my gears every time I see a video from camp and he drops a pass that Drew drops into his fing hands. Practice like you play

Less Flying Airplanes and More Catching of the Footbol; if you catch enough footballs, you will have even more time and better planes to fly...

Stop thinking about the DUNK, Jimmy! LOL

I SWEAR he dropped at least one sure-thing TD pass last year, because he took his eyes off the ball and was already cutting towards the center of the field to get to the goal post....

He's been doing it since college. Exactly why I was confused when we drafted him. Turned out he's a beast, but he drops one here and there. He's a TE version of TO.

Maybe he should get the ball thrown to him more. Practice makes perfect.

You just made me proud Oak. That was a very "urban" like comment. Lol. You know what I want to put in place of urban, but they censor it on here.

That's what I'm incredibly interested in... If he continues with the drops and his run blocking doesn't improve then do we make him the highest paid TE in the league? Of course we do, but there's definitely still lots of room for improvement.

Someone you know is ex military.... That which is on your sling is your weapon, that which is in your pants is your gun, that which is on the end of your wrist is your Peter beater (since Danno doesn't like me saying dick).

First time I used that phrase in front of my wife she spit margarita all over me lol. We were in a restaurant (and married), a recruiter walked into the restaurant in BDU's and put his hands in his pockets.... I mumbled something and my wife asked me what I said .. So I told her... "That recruiter knows better than to have his Richard beaters (since Danno doesn't like me using the word dick) in his pockets. She laughed till she cried.

Profanity doesn't bother me, I'm ex military, work in the oil field; my mother in law lives with me and she is 87, bi-polar, 5 foot nothing 98 lbs and would make an entire Navy bar blush with her language.

Thanks for your service, but arent you a mod here? You should know more than anyone else the value of family-friendliness on the site.

I can cuss, but I dont, because sometimes Im somewhere where you shouldnt cuss. I also dont spit on the sidewalk.

We can probably chat about football without bringing in dicks and peters and bushes (Im from the 70s) and triple penetration and dirty sanchezs. We could probably do that on the rest of the Net. Just a suggestion. Not a demand.

Im for free speech & all that sh*t, but I'm also teaching my kids to replace
curse words with more imaginative metaphors, because you become your habits.

Agreed, and rarely do I attempt to circumvent the profanity filter.... well not so rarely but it's not a common occurrence , especially in this area.

I will not attempt to defend my indefensible action and I deeply regret my blatant vulgarity, if I have offended anyone please accept my apology.

naaa... not a big thing... I just wanted to suggest
keeping a bit of the family friendliness, when possible... There will be
times, Im sure, when a little rated R is in order.
Its all good, brotha.

Yep, i just didn't want it to get out of hand, which it looked like it veered toward.

I probably set the B&G record for F-bombs before we went family friendly.

Re: Jimmy Graham Struggling With Dropped Passes

Jimmy needs to get a handle on the ball or he'll be like Drew giving the national talking heads some reason to say why a N'awlins bro shouldn't be ranked at the top...
