ESPN is crazy!
They predict the Saints to go 6-10 & be 4th in the division.
Lose to Fail-CLowns 42-34 Lose to TB the next week - 30-7 (What are they smoking???) We beat Arizona, Miami, Buffalo, Dallas, Carolina at home & TB at home WHAT?? It really frippen irritates me! A LOT!! :bs: :pissed: :censored: :handguns: :biggun: :microwave: |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
You can't let the haters get to ya!
We'll be proving them wrong shortly... |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Who were the "analyst" that actually predicted this bs?
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Could not find any "one" person. It was in ESPN the Magazine
(ESPN = Every Stupid Prediction Noted) |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Just allow ESPN all the rope they want...
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
A sad sack of numbnuts over there at ESPN. Getting Sean Payton back and overhauling the defensive alignment should be good for a +3 on wins this year at the very least. Just be ready to have that crow burger mailed to them next-day air when we're in the playoffs again.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
11-5 minimum. But who pays any attention to ESPN anyway? They're idiots.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
I've been watching Fox Sports 1 and 2.
New channels. Not bad so far. |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Relax, let the naysayers talk down our Saints.
It's almost better to allow the Nation return to the mindfulness of never expecting anything from the Saints. It returns the NFL back to the pre- Payton-Brees comfortable days. I am content to watch everyone get blindsided. As the Reverend said at the Baptism...believe in the Saints. The rest can all go to.... |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
I'm assuming they had Corky from Life Goes On as a guest analysis. This is effin r$t@r%e*. How can a team with the worst defense last year of all time do any worse with an actual head coach this time around. The stars would have to line up perfectly for it to go down like that.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
f*ck yes, a corky reference!
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Haters gonna hate, thats their job. At worst 10-6.
Resistance is futile |

Stupid is as stupid does.

Why is anyone still watching ESPN.

Re: ESPN is crazy!
Most of that bunch is predicting a broncos/seahawks Super Bowl also. Who cares?
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
A team that was able to go 7-9 without a h/c and a defense will only be able to go 6-10 with a h/c and a defense ... yep, makes sense to me, ... way to think "outside-the-box" ESPN ... must be a strength-of-schedule thing or something,.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
I like flying under the radar. Makes me feel great when the band wagon jumpers get on our wagon. We know who they are, ESPN will just be 1 of many.

Predictions are like a**holes ... ESPN's stinks really really bad.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Worst case, we're decimated by injuries at key positions lb, cb, oline, and we have numerous calls go the other way, our K blows a game or two and our special teams set records in futility
If all that happens I could see 8-8. But 6-10? I definitely do NOT want what they're smoking |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
The problem is that nobody, no matter how knowledgeable, can predict what effect injuries, and just plain blind luck will have on the season. Predictions are totally meaningless.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
I prefer to draft competition and then run them into the ground in the stretch run...

Re: ESPN is crazy!
I really don't know where you heard or read this. Everything I have heard from ESPN, NFL Radio and other sources have the Saints picked to make it back to the playoffs and do no worse than 10-6 with the potential of being much better.
 |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
Dudes, everything is setting up perfectly for a 12-4/13-3 type season and a run at the Super Bowl. They'll only be shocked because of their own ignorance.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
as far as sports coverage goes, ESPN is about as bad as you can get. They don't take anything into consideration, like how Atlanta lost their starting right tackle and starting secondary, they seem to go by what ever team has more players starring in commercials.
|
Re: ESPN is crazy!
My point was already covered by y'all, but just to beat the dead horse a lil bit more, the only thing espn is good for is actually broadcasts of live games. The rest of it is designed for the casual boob sports fan that is up late, flipping thru the channels and sees a blurb and goes back to watch 30 seconds then considers himself well informed.

Re: ESPN is crazy!
I think the only teams the Saints will have problems with is teams with flourishing offenses.
Now look at the schedule, you dont really see one except New England. Seattle and San Fran will test the defense, but I doubt they will get it done. I said this back in 2009, some how we gone full circle into it again 3 years later, but I think the defense is the least of the worries this season and the focus should be on if the offense can beat some of these defenses coming up this season. What happened today vs Houston is not bad defense, quite frankly its expected, but they did limit Houston to FGs quite often and punts. You not going to see Andre Johnson every game nor any WR of that caliber, I dont consider Roddy White or Julio Jones anywhere near a Andre Johnson either. |

I a watching NFL live right now & 2 of their people just said we were making the playoffs.
This is a case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing. |
Re: ESPN is crazy!
I could see that prior to the pre-season actually starting. I seem to remember Payton actually saying some low number of wins in his predictions before they started.
But seeing how pre-season is turning out with every team in our division alone, that's just so far off base with reality. We'll see what the predictions are after week one if the Saints handle their business with Atlanta. |
