Crennel becomes the defensive coordinator in New England in 2001 , the previous season the Pats were 5 - 11 . Under Crennel the Pats went 11 - 5 in his first season as defensive coordiator .

The Pats are currently 35 - 14 with Crennel as their defensive coordinator ......
