Rob Ryan and injuries

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Do you guys think there could be something in Ryans schemes or the what he demands from his players during practice that lends itself to players getting injured? Injuries seem to follow this guy, especially last year. The Smith injury ...

Rob Ryan and injuries

Do you guys think there could be something in Ryans schemes or the what he demands from his players during practice that lends itself to players getting injured? Injuries seem to follow this guy, especially last year. The Smith injury was bound to happen given his weight at that position. I figured it would happen sooner or later. Do you think some of these injuries fall on Ryan?

No; in game injuries like Smith and Wilson can't be blamed on a coach. Just the way the bodies fell, nobody's fault.

Re: Rob Ryan and injuries

Normal injuries, Smith injury was in-game, Butlers was due to colliding with ingram, that was just a freak accident, he might actually even come back mid-season if Saints vie to take the PUP with condition to return but that's risky.

Re: Rob Ryan and injuries

Smith got hurt on a play where essentially he was playing right end. How on earth was that the scheme or Def Coords' fault?
