Probably ramon humber because he is a tackling machine, letting roby and preston parker go was a mistake in my opinion

But maybe that's exactly what the special teams needs, whether it's a Drew Brees RahRah type or some Wedge Buster that leads by devastating examples...

I actually think it's important that someone on our team take an active leadership role to get this unit, particularly kicking coverage, to play better and be a better complement to our All-World Offense...:bng:

Ohhhh. I am ex military and one that believes everyone needs some level of management... Some people are managed by their customers.

Well there are guys fairly equal in talent wanting to make a big splash to get into the scrimmage units running full speed at you as well... ;)

But you make a good point; however, a fair question is 'are the schemes in technique effectively coached?!?'

Gary Gibbs, correction, Greg McMahon's units have seen changes in talent and we're still allowing breakdowns...

I dunno why we kept Roby on as long as we did and 2 years ago we let Chris Reis go.

That is something that never made sense seeing I think we got more out of Reis also being a Safety than Roby being a WR.

I was actually calling for Roby last year or the year before (dont remember) because he was loosing his grip as a decent KR where I saw too much of his returns where he runs slap dab into his own guys and not hitting lanes.

It would not shock me to see Roby back with the team in a couple of weeks. Granted he never did anything as a WR but he was a pretty good gunner on ST. A vet signing after week one means the salary is not guaranteed.

Totally agree. I like Vitts fire, but its obviouslly not translating onto the field. If the defense sucks balls again this year we need to clean house. I will give them that they have not had much to work with but it is a coaches job to coach players up.

Hairstylists are nice people too. They have wives and kids and pets too. But I don't want them to captain my special teams units. Special teams are supposed to rip your frigging head off. No wonder our special teams units have sucked for so many years.

Maybe we can get a local pastry chef to coach up the LB's while we're at it.

I'd venture to say our defense might very well benefit from a pastry chef considering recent performances.

One of the gunners should be Cap.
The guy that leads should be Cap.
The one everybody else is follwing into the fray should be Captain.
I like Abdul-Quddus. Special teams will keep him loose while he waits his turn.
He's been here long enough to now step up and take the lead in kick coverage.
Vaccaro has made several ST plays. He has a good nose to the point of attack.
He's still a little too green and fresh to give direction to the vets.
