Hawthorne did look good in the preseason, he read the QB came off his assignment and almost got that pick against the Texans...

From what I saw in Seattle and what I saw this pre-season, he looks like a better LB than Lofton as well.

I really like the Hawthorne/Humber combo in the middle.

I'm not convinced Lofton is better versus the run, but its probably close.
