By re-signing Meachem, it seems to me like the coaches aren't sold on one of the WRs; a betting man would say it is Andy Tanner.

I would agree but Tanner and Meachem are apples and oranges.

I agree with this. Tanner is solid, but not really explosive. Meachem has the abilities, and of course they already know how he fits into the system. But he's so sporadic that I'm having a difficult time getting excited about him.

Still, if he sticks I would think he takes Tanner's place also.

Meachem if healthy was always a deep threat, so even if he's not getting the ball he's stretching the field. All the more open space for the rest of the weapons...

Exactly! The Saints would alternate sending Meachem and Henderson deep so each remained fresh. They would only be targeted a few times combined, but when they did it was usually a big play, or when they weren't it drew coverage away from the inside and shorter routes.
