Goliath will fall ...
With all of the hype and attention some teams have received early this season ( some deserved others favored ) the fad experts will have to eat their very words early and often this year. My reasoning follows ...
Sustainable : 1. able to be maintained at a certain rate or level. "sustainable fusion reactions" We have indeed seen the birth of a new offense in the NFL , the read and spread option are taking the league by storm , but what evidence do we have that such a level of play can be maintained without getting your QB killed ? Surprisingly , none. After Cam Newtons rookie reign we saw a much more Clark Kent superman than his counterpart taking many unnecessary hits. After a few thuds set in RGIII looked more like RGI and 1 1/2 as he couldn't finish his rookie season in one piece. Russell Wilson and Collin seem to have found a nice balance within the system , but all their accomplishments are based inlast year's papers. Newton will tell you first hand , it's different when the defense has a seasons worth of film on you. So what should we expect ? More of the same as time is the ultimate test. While the Seahawks are regarded as the NFL's best by many accounts , they will fall to Carolina ... I don't personally favor the Panthers , but they are more than capable if sitting the Seahawks on their bottoms at home in a season opener. These Teams are quite similar , but if for any reason the Panthers will win because of their own Vaunted Defense that has been in the works ( See Ravens vs Panthers Preseason ) if the panthers ever figured it out they could be very dangerous long term , but they won't however they will figure out enough to shut analysts up about how perfect the Seahawks are. Cam has his day Panthers Will win 24- 17. Next up we have the Golden unbeatable 49ers. Hmm I think Rodgers has a thing or two to say about that ! Not only did they take The spotlight which we know the Packers love so much away with them , but the 9'ers also did it on enemy turf ! I've got to think McCarthy and Matthew's have a bit of a Chip on their shoulders ( Wonder if they're cheddar chips ) Pun intended. Side note if Collin Struggles even the Slightest bit against Rodgers and their up up and away Offense , things could get ugly fast ! Like I said , lets try that again when the Pack has significant film on Kaepernick. Pack regain headlines 31 - 21 Atlanta Vs New Orleans ... This one has many Saints Fans itching for good Brand Name Sean Payton tail kicking. The Falcons are regarded as the most Complete team after a very unusual 13-3 Season. But Problems on the line and a Young inexperienced secondary can prove to be too much to overcome on the road in New Orleans where the atmosphere will be very eerily reminiscent of 2006 game. The NFL's best coach QB tandem are back at it and Atlanta has no idea what to expect ... New Orleans has proven they can beat Atlanta with a severely flawed team , Atlanta has yet to prove they can do so with a shining armor... Saints win 34 - 24 |
You Can't Say Impossible without first saying Im Possible ...

I still can't believe after 1-4 in the post season and Atlanta being SOOO lucky in several of those wins last year, they are still considered so complete. They have a good team, no arguement, but most complete? That's crazy.

Re: Goliath will fall ...
we can beat the niners. we gave that game away. sean back on the side lines gives us 2 to 4 more wins. play calling at key moments of the game killed us.
Now the seahawks are a team that scares me. they are our #1 test this season in my book followed by san fran. Atlanta is well atlanta and must go down Panthers are going to be the surprise team this year i think and have the talent to screw up the NFC South standing. Tampa can run but can freeman put it all together and pass is the question. if he does the NFC south by seasons end maybe the talk of the NFL as the best division in the NFL. with all that said the main point is this. BEAT THE FALCONS |

As long as we contain Steven Jackson and let the dome noise upset Ryan we should be okay.
