Haslett Sums It All Up
I got this from an article on the WWL website.
Haslett downplayed the fact that the team isn’t close, saying that closeness isn’t necessarily a prerequisite for success. “There’s 53 or so guys on the team and they aren’t all going to be friends. It’s only important that a relationship exists on the field. If this is what Haslett truly believes then his teams will never have the right chemistry. Jim haslett has a lot of learning to do about coaching in the NFL.He has never groomed a leader on this team. That is why you have a roster full of individuals. Hey Haslett there is more to coaching than x's and o's.Sometimes you have to spend time with your players off the field .Get to know things about them other than how fast they can run or how well they can tackle. You have to teach them how to be resilliant, how to overcome adversity.Teach them little lessons in life that will go a long way.Right now you have lost this team and it may be to late to get them back.iI's just like raising children. They act how they're raised. You have depended on them to raise themselves and now look at what you've got.No discipline whatsoever. It is ashame to have all this young talent and no one to direct them. They are calling out for direction and you have to be the one to step up to the plate and give it to them.No one said parenting was easy, but it's part of your job. |
