Play(s) of the Game...

What were your play(s) of the game?

I've got several...

First, Kenny Vaccaro's pass defensed on Tony Gonzalez that slowed the ball that even Roman Harper could catch it...

Second, Tyrunn Walker's Body Slam Sack on Matt Ryan fired me up; Galette was given the stat, but Walker wrapped him up and finished the play...

Third, Parys Haralson's Sack showed he's gonna be quite the deal for a 7 round pick...

Fourth, Kenny Stills is gonna stretch the field and open things up for this offense...

Fifth, Malcolm Jenkins strip of Julio Jones and taking the ball the other way for a score...

But, for me, I loved seeing the balance in the offense led by Pierre Thomas's running; though Ingram was disappointing, I loved seeing us run the ball again!

And I gotta give props to the rookies; mentioned Vacarro and Stills, but John Jenkins got in there and mixed it up well...

Now, there's definitely some concerns:

Left Tackle (Charles Brown will face better pass rushers)

Drew's Arm Strength (Bad Underthrow of Stills)

Defensive Line Injuries (We're down three already in the season)

But this was a solid win as we didn't play our best and beat a quality opponent; and that's a major positive...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I have to go with your first one as well. If Kenny V. doesn't tip that ball it's a TD.
I too became a bit concerned about Drew's arm strength. I wouldn't say I'm worried but he may not be able to heave it as deep as he used to. I don't think it will matter though. He can still get it down field in decent fashion. He'll be fine.

I don't think most of Drews throws were arm strength issues but a matter of throwing late. His timing was way off.

You could be right mike. I don't think there is any cause for real concern but some of his throws did make me take notice. Like I said, he'll be fine. He was under duress on several occasions.

That interception should have been caught, Colston should take some of the fault on that one...

I was thinking the same thing. IMO it's what cost us a couple of scores. This game should not have been this close. However they came out with the win and SP will
make sure the issue gets fixed

Re: Play(s) of the Game...

Saints in Week 1 of any game under Sean Payton era, they look rusty and jittery, so winning vs the Falcons like this in this fashion, tells me we got one hell of a team this season, TBH we may not lose a game until October when they go to Chicago or NE, so a 4-0 or 5-0 start is not impossible.

I think it has to be the Jones fumble. It really sets the tone for the rest of the game.

I was referring to the takeaway and turning it into points...
