The Saints jumped 5 spots from #13 to #8, but still are behind the Falcons who fell from #2 to #4.

4(2) Falcons:

Matty Ice, what happened? Atlanta had possession in the last two minutes of each half, but failed to score. Matt Ryan was 4-of-9 with an interception in that span.

8(13) Saints:

Matt Ryan was sacked three times in 15 drop-backs against at least five rushers in Week 1. Ryan wasn't sacked on 31 such drop-backs last year against New Orleans.

Shouldn’t the Saints be ranked ahead of the Falcons after beating them? John Clayton and Kevin Seifert were the only members of the voting panel to put the Saints ahead of the Falcons, and I tend to agree with them.

Maybe a silly thought but maybe they're bitter that their reporter, (John Barr?), made accusations about Loomis wire tapping opposing teams that were incorrect. I don't know, it does seem strange.

And just this morning I woke up thinking how wonderful power rankings are and that they hold so much weight. I may have to rethink that one...
