Sometimes, talent can overcome bad/ineffective coaching. Teams can win despite their head coach. TB is one of those teams when playing us.

Mine was fairly clear about a team only meeting before the very first game. They had one in Nov 2012 and one in Dec 2006, Giants Super Bowls were Feb 2008 and Feb 2012, the meetings were not even in the same season. |
Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
If we stay committed to the run like we did last week, we will be fine. There will be a 40% chance of rain by game time so we will need to run the ball.
And my azz will be sitting in it so we better take it to them. |
Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
I enjoyed being at the Tampa stomping last year. I hope to see a repeat of that arse whooping!

Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
the best thing we could do against a team like this is get up early and let them quit. the longer they stick around the harder the win is

....that no player under contract from the Saints will geaux up to Coach Payton and wish him luck by saying "Break a Leg, Coach"...

Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)

Doesn't matter when there is distention in the ranks..... Think about the chip the Saints played with last year, didn't help because they played in a disarray because of coaching. |
Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
I'm not naming any names or pointing any fingers, but there are a lot of people in here who are seriously drinking the BSPN kool-aid.
Yes, so there may be some petty disagreements going on over there. But after all the whining and complaining, we are talking about some grown-ass men who are of world-level talent playing a game that they have been playing for most of their lives. "When the tail-gate drops, the bull**** stops." (A saying where I'm from relating to hunting w/ dogs) TB is a good team who will gel at some point and be very good; Freeman/Jackson/Williams are dangerous (not to mention Martin), and that secondary is no joke either. Revis island may be more of an archipelago after his surgery, but the dude is still good. And Goldson knows how to play us. Looking past this game or thinking it will automatically be a blowout because of one game last season/a few games in the past or a media whirlwind of "he said he said" is a mistake Not that I think anybody who plays in a Saints uni is doing that at all, but some messageboard junkies (and I'm one too :/ ) need to keep calm and do whatever keeps you calm |

While I agree with you Shoe on the world class athletes; every week at least a handful of those grown-assed men act like spoiled little b1tches.
Having the players not trust each other is one thing, it's work.... a job... no place is perfect. When the players lose their trust or faith in the coach, that's a different ball of wax... We didn't find out until after the 2012 season was over how the defense felt about Spags.... It was equal to their performance.... When they didn't trust him they didn't trust his play calling. |

Cakewalk huh?

Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
All that Schiano losing the team was a smoke-screen...

Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
I tell you one thing. If the Saints didnt give them 14 pts, and didnt take pts off the board.
It would of been alot different. We did about as much to make them win than what they were doing trying to win. |

Re: I will go out on a limb and say (RE: Tampa Game)
I hate when people talk about us blowing people out. We always blow it in those games. Today we lucked out.

BTW- if we win our next two games at home I think it is perfectly reasonable we will be 5-1 at our break. Our offense has to get going soon... has to |
