Sometimes, talent can overcome bad/ineffective coaching. Teams can win despite their head coach. TB is one of those teams when playing us.

Only Giants 'team only meetings" that have been held and are referenced on the internet are Dec 2006 and Nov 2012.. I do not recall week 1 of the NFL starting in those months?

Unless you are talking about the baseball team.

Im not saying it was week one, but it was early in the season. Eli called the meeting. They said that the team regrouped after that and straightened there **** out.
Im not going to go and research another teams meetings because I dont really care, but it happened. It was on ESPN.

So the reason for your reply was? Other than being wrong and not caring and all....

Mine was fairly clear about a team only meeting before the very first game. They had one in Nov 2012 and one in Dec 2006, Giants Super Bowls were Feb 2008 and Feb 2012, the meetings were not even in the same season.

If we stay committed to the run like we did last week, we will be fine. There will be a 40% chance of rain by game time so we will need to run the ball.
And my azz will be sitting in it so we better take it to them.

the best thing we could do against a team like this is get up early and let them quit. the longer they stick around the harder the win is

That's exactly what you do to a team with no leader to rally behind.

True, but I hate everyone picking us, and this team (Tampa) has to know lose this and they're in a hole

Your forgetting the 40 burger and shut out last season....

Doesn't matter when there is distention in the ranks..... Think about the chip the Saints played with last year, didn't help because they played in a disarray because of coaching.

I'm not naming any names or pointing any fingers, but there are a lot of people in here who are seriously drinking the BSPN kool-aid.

Yes, so there may be some petty disagreements going on over there. But after all the whining and complaining, we are talking about some grown-ass men who are of world-level talent playing a game that they have been playing for most of their lives. "When the tail-gate drops, the bull**** stops." (A saying where I'm from relating to hunting w/ dogs)

TB is a good team who will gel at some point and be very good; Freeman/Jackson/Williams are dangerous (not to mention Martin), and that secondary is no joke either. Revis island may be more of an archipelago after his surgery, but the dude is still good. And Goldson knows how to play us. Looking past this game or thinking it will automatically be a blowout because of one game last season/a few games in the past or a media whirlwind of "he said he said" is a mistake

Not that I think anybody who plays in a Saints uni is doing that at all, but some messageboard junkies (and I'm one too :/ ) need to keep calm and do whatever keeps you calm

Very true I actually thought they would end up winning the south this year. That is how much talent they have over there. I do think if we can get up by a good amount early they'll quit, but if not we're in for a hell of a fight. Whole team hated Coughlin at one point. Winning cures a lot

While I agree with you Shoe on the world class athletes; every week at least a handful of those grown-assed men act like spoiled little b1tches.

Having the players not trust each other is one thing, it's work.... a job... no place is perfect. When the players lose their trust or faith in the coach, that's a different ball of wax... We didn't find out until after the 2012 season was over how the defense felt about Spags.... It was equal to their performance.... When they didn't trust him they didn't trust his play calling.

I tell you one thing. If the Saints didnt give them 14 pts, and didnt take pts off the board.

It would of been alot different. We did about as much to make them win than what they were doing trying to win.

LOL, don't come on here after you predicted a blow out and try some well if this and that, just eat your crow and move on

I am just glad we won, don't care how or why

I don't know, we play them in the Dome the last game of the season... They'll be out for blood then...

Certainly, no doubt they will. It has to be hard to come back from that loss, and now they're 0-2... if they lose in Foxboro, which I think they will after losing to us like they did, bye season.

BTW- if we win our next two games at home I think it is perfectly reasonable we will be 5-1 at our break.

Our offense has to get going soon... has to

Something in the tune of 34-6 or 34-10

I think Tampa is too dysfunctional and I believe the only contributors to those 10 points will be a couple nice plays to Jackson and a couple good runs on the ground by Doug Martin. This could be giving them too much credit, this is how I see this game playing out.
