That was the first game in a looooong time where I felt more confident in our defense than our offense. Our O-Line looks like garbage and we might be missing Kromer more than I thought we would. In Rob Ryan I believe!

Our D gave up a total of 273yards and only the one TD but they were on the back foot on that one due to the turnover.


End of the day its a 2-0 start with two tough divisional games out the way.
We really could do with someof the injured players getting back and Armstead starting to get with it and contributing

I don't know what Rob Ryan is getting paid, but keep it up and you deserve a raise sir!

Has the defense playing out of their minds!

And has anyone thought it strange that Harper and Jenkins have our only interceptions so far? Am I living in the twilight zone?

I stopped watching after the Martin 1st down with 3 minutes to go. Still hoping that they could pull it off, but I just couldn't take watching it anymore. Second time I've done that and it worked both times (Miami in 09).

Rob ryan and the D deserve drews 23 mil for this year, they kept us in the game when we couldnt score and then brees just gave the game to tampa

Man, I've learned by now, if I get that agitated at a game, just turn it off. I don't need to be snapping at my kid and yelling at the dog when they're not even doing anything wrong just because of a football game.

Ahh but brees gave the game to tampa, they just couldnt take it because our D held for like the 50th time in the game

Yeah brees made several great passes at the end, but 4 quarters of poor decision making put us in the position, we won and im really glad but we wont be as lucky if the team punts it away or makes that FG

We had like 8 redzone trips and scored no TD's there

IDK if I am delusional, but I feel better saying the Offense will put it together soon mush more than saying that about the D. I can't believe how they have played. Once we get some guys back it is going to get better.

Hey what does everyone think of Lewis? I haven't seen him get beat a lot?

Lewis was horrible in preseason, but made the promise he'd get it together and he has been on lock-down ever since...

I think he was pulling the rope-a-dope on everybody... :bng:

I liked Lewis out in space...made the tackles today that were often missed last year. Big difference on 3rd and long this year when a tackle in space forces a punt compared to last year's 3rd and long break-a-tackle in space and then it's 1st and 10. We're forcing punts this year whereas last year we got off the field on 3rd and long when somebody dropped the ball. I like this year's better.

I didn't take the time to read the whole thread, so I apologize if I miss on the theme, but hey, we have to win ugly sometimes too.

It's hard for us there - just seems like it to me anyway without having looked at a few year's worth of history.

Clearly not our best day, and yet we pulled it together in the end - just enough to win.

Color me happy at 2-0.
