Re: Week 3 Saints vs Cardinals
They will be tough and are much better balanced offensively with Mendenhall. Their D is not too bad either, but Brees is due for a good game and I'm sure he's pissed about giving Tampa 14 points of his two INTs. It will be nice to be back in the dome after two really tough conference wins.

The falcons had a closer win than people think against the rams. Two big plays that could have been prevented......a tipped pass that was picked off by Umenyiora(it still bugs me they got him) and a breakaway TD from Jones with a ram in striking distance. This shows the rams have issues still, they can't stop the big play. The rams could have won that game. The bucs lost to the jets the previous week but jets have a good defense, but still bucs could have outdid that jets offense. The cards are not better but they will not take chances. They kicked six field goals against the lions, they have trick plays using Peterson as a corner, receiver, and quarterback. This will be our biggest matchup yet if the offense doesnt turn around. |
Re: Week 3 Saints vs Cardinals
I wonder if we will try to get Carr back since P Rob may be done for the season. Did anyone sign him? It seemed like he did pretty well in preseason.

Re: Week 3 Saints vs Cardinals
Long as we bring the wood like the last time cardinals came to town we should be good.

Re: Week 3 Saints vs Cardinals
The frippen offense had better get its bearings.

Watching NFL Network
(Jay Feely) on Fitzgerald's hamstring... "You are not going to get me to go there, but 1/2 a Fitzgerald is better than a full Wide Receiver". |

Re: Week 3 Saints vs Cardinals
Not very much support for Saints special teams. Hartley was 3 for 3 against Atlanta and 3 of 4 against the Bucs (outdoors and swirling wind). When he misses one, some want his FOOT on a platter. On the other hand, when special teams and Hartley wins one with a FG on the last play...minor (at best) applause.
It doesn't go unnoticed that Brees, Graham, Sproles, and Colston got the field position, but so many things could have gone wrong (as in the past) with that final FG. |
