Hey, he did this to himself...

Left Tackle, Outside Linebacker and Special Teams were going to be the biggest concerns for this team...

And he definitely "unsettled" Coach Payton today...

As usual I am not worried. This is nothing out of the ordinary for an NFL kicker.

Alaska

I'd love to see morestead get a shot but would hate the criticism he would get the minute he missed his first kick

Hartley on the other hand is guaranteed for about 3-6 misses every year

Against a lesser team with a backup quarterback, maybe not...

But if that had been Seattle, Carolina, 49ers - those misses costs us the game, home field advantage, and any mental advantage for the tournament...

yeah it would have cost us the game, how many times a season do we have to through this, hartley does it all the time and nothing ever happens about it

Re: Garrett Hartley

I'm surprised by the lack of vitriol towards Hartley today. He is a 'Harry Hook Shot'. You watch whenever he misses, they are always horrible hooked shots off to the left. Yesterday was embarrassing.

I'm sure someone will mention the Superbowl 44 run and how good he was blah blah blah but why don't we throw a poll out there? I am definitely not the only one who is expecting him to miss every time he hits a FG. I am waiting for it to hook every single time and find myself surprised when it doesn't.

We got let off the hook yesterday because the Bills kept turning it over and because we overpowered them on offence. JP nailed it on the head. How costly are these mistakes against a Seattle, Carolina or 49ers? They can come back to haunt you.

People forget that it isn't just the opportunity of putting 3 points on the board, it is more often than not a very good starting field position for the opposition. That can kill you.

I am not saying we make a radical change in the middle of the season as that can be as damaging, if not more, but I would definitely be keeping an eye on other kickers and I would say he is done in New Orleans after this season. We need a Matt Prater or a Robbie Gould. Those guys are money.

I am pretty confident we did not punt from the Bills 30 yard line. Can you tell me when that was? If we did then I apologise and you are right. I just cannot remember that and think Payton would have rather turned over on downs, trying to throw or run the ball than punt from there!

Re: Garrett Hartley

Can't just wail on Hartley, that was a sloppy game...

Charles Brown looks bad at LT including ANOTHER Holding Call; Grubbs getting manhandled is becoming a recurring theme which is contrary to his reputation of being a "mauler"; when Zach Strief, who probably has a difficult time with line dancing, is having to make "athletic" plays and Evans is having to block both his and de la Puenta's man - wow, just, wow...

And WTF was up with Drew and the Referee?!? Did someone not share in the Ladies room before coming out for the game?!?

It's quite the statement to hang 35 points in a "sloppy game", but had that been a playoff contender, I'm not sure the outcome is the same...

All teams have sloppy games, but starting to get the sense that we're taking too long to come out the gate, especially the way the defense is getting the ball back this season...

Just not trying to get too high or too low that's all...
