Left side of the O-Line

Anyone have any idea why we continue to run towards the left side of the formation when we have the best guard in the league over on the right? Is Grubbs considered better than Evans now? 4th amd 1 and I think we'd go right up Evans' a$$ for the TD

Saints have a top 3 QB but let's run on 4th down with the worst running back on the team getting the ball. I was hoping to see either a fade to Graham or the 2 point conversion play from the Superbowl

Evans has back issues...continually nagging problem (trust me, firsthand experience). Back issues are day-to-day, plus he missed a lot of preseason snaps and some practices. He may be catching up with true game speed, too. Uncharacteristic holding calls and Payton not running behind him in crunch time are due to the back issue and to his game speed adjustment. That's my opinion as I have yet to play an NFL snap, but his injury and adjustment period is throwing off the entire stability of the line in pass protection AND the running game.

I remember Haslett saying once that in that situation on 4th and 1 on the goaline you give it to your best players (Ricky and Roaf at the time) and they score, which they did.

If they can't get it done then something is very wrong. Ingram is not our best RB and it seems he should have been running to the right with that philosophy. Even Payton said it was a bad call and he takes the responsibility for it. Bottomline, when you have to get it done you go to your money makers like he did on the last pass to MC.

I have been a Ingram supporter but he should have made that on a second effort. I don't understand how he got stood up like that. In Alabama he would've had them pads a lot lower.

Have not been an Ingram supporter since last year. He is doing zero to change my mind.

Because we gain better on the left. The stats are around here some where, I posted them today.

I think Grubbs is a better run blocker than a pass blocker. Evans is a better pass protector I think.
