Did anyone see Martez
I dont remember seeing him. I didnt see him on the inactive list, did he play?
|
Re: Did anyone see Martez
He was out there a little bit... But I think Parys Haralson has moved into his starting spot.
|
Re: Did anyone see Martez
So he's gone back to second string? guess he will be healthy at least
|
Re: Did anyone see Martez
I seen him n Special Teams a lot... not much on D
|
Re: Did anyone see Martez
I would still like to put him in on the inside. I don't understand why they don't.

Re: Did anyone see Martez
Blows my mind that anybody could watch the game Lofton played against the Bucs and then want him on the bench. He is a machine.

It has to be better than Lofton, he's 4 steps behind. Wilson is faster.

Re: Did anyone see Martez
never assume...

Re: Did anyone see Martez
Haralson was a beast. I second that.

Re: Did anyone see Martez
Our OLB's struggled against the bucs tackles and freeman got rid of the ball quickly, martez never really made an impact but yeah haralson is a beast and we got him for a steal

Re: Did anyone see Martez
Lofton will not be benched anytime soon. He will continue to be the starter. He is the QB for the defense, countering the the other teams QB with his own adjustments to what was called. Experience cannot be substituted for in this position, no matter how fast his back-up would be.
Say what you want about Vilma and Lofton, they are acute minds and Ryan seems to have bonded with them both similarly to Drew and Payton's bond. Having your Defensive Coordinator and ML on the same page and understanding each other is a big a part of our defense playing well as some of the players are. No way do I want Lofton out. |

Lofton is a very good player. I would think that would be obvious to anyone who watched these first two games, but ... I don't know, I just don't know. |
Re: Did anyone see Martez
I really haven't seen anything from Tez that says he's going to be anything more than a situational/special teams type player.
