New Orleans Saints' Injury Report: September 20, 2013

Good news on the injury front. We could have all of our D-line back this week which is encouraging. I think we will miss Harper (and that may shock some of you considering my opinion of Harper) as Rob Ryan has been able to use him correctly.

Not the best thing to hope for but Ingram on the injury report is a good thing in my opinion. He has not practiced all week and I hope we get to see Robinson in his place on Sunday.

At safety we have jenkins, vaccaro and rafael bush which whilst they are all good players leaves us very thin at safety

Maybe we should sit Evans so he can get 100 percent instead of playing hurt and possibly making it worse.. we need him come playoffs.

Well Chris Carr could possibly play safety in certain packages. Kind of thin in the secondary overall though. :(

Still, our D-Line and linebackers should be solid hopefully...

Saints' Jahri Evans questionable
 

METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints guard Jahri Evans' eight-year ironman streak is in jeopardy. The four-time All-Pro is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals after missing practice all week with a hamstring injury.

Tailback Mark Ingram is one of five others also listed as questionable after he was held out of practice all week with a toe injury. Safeties Roman Harper (knee) and Isa Abdul-Quddus (ankle) were officially ruled out on Friday.

Seriously? He's played 100% of the defensive snaps in both games so far. He can't be on the field anymore, just a more specific role...

Should be interesting come kick off, in the past Payton had a rule of if you don't practice Friday the you were out Sunday. Let's see if is still the case, hate to loose Jahri long term if he's playing injured now but I think we all just stumbled on to the problem with the Oline for some people

Bush has been seeing quite a bit of playing time so I don't think they will have to abandon the 3 safety package. Would be really nice if Quddus was available though.

I'd rather see Evans skip a week or two and get healthy. These next two games aren't cakewalks, but they're more winnable than the ones coming up before the bye (Bears and Patriots).

Or Marcel Jones who they lined up as the second string RG all through preseason, but the only thing with that is that he's on the PS.

Also, Corey White can play some safety if the need for that arises with the injuries to Harper and A-Q.

You guys are being far to negative about this injury report.

Our D-line will be far improved getting Walker back and Foster will be there as well. Mr 2ypc may not play but thats not much of a loss. Harper being out will hurt in some situations but I like the younger talent we have at safety. The only real injury concern is Evans, I am not sure how well his back-up will perform.

I honestly would rather walker/foster/others on the report to sit and rest. I think we can we this one with out them. Don't want the rest of the league to see everything our d has to offer just yet lol

I wonder how much the Ingram "injury" is really a nice way of sitting him and trying one of the younger guys and if they're no better you can bring him back...?

Biggest injury is Evans, he isn't going to play. He did not practice all wekk, this kills us!

Looks like Evans, Harper, IAQ, Bunk, Johnson, and Ingram will not play. The Evans injury hurts, bad! Let him get healthy though- gonna need him

Yeah but Arizona's starting NT isn't playing so that somewhat balances out the loss of Evans. At least that's what I'm hoping... We'll be starting an undrafted rookie in Jahri's place so fingers crossed!
