Anybody hear Hoakie last night?

Man he sounded absolutely like a full blown Sunshiner. He did point out al the bad but also suggested that it wasn't as bad as many think.
Some points of interest...
The fight was no big deal. Has happened for years. Probably a good thing to get things out.

He said it was amazing. One certain play during the game (I think he's referring to the reverse, but it may have been the dropped screen) they practiced to absolute perfection. Not a single screw-up all week. Then during the game they screw it up.

He took up for Gandy. Said he basically had a bad game. He doesn't have a history of it though so he thought the criticism was a bit overboard. Didn't exactly take up for Riley though.

Commented that we're 2-2 with a lot of football left. Don't jump ship just yet.

I usually listen to what Hoakie says. He seems to tell it like it is. But man he sounded strangely optimistic. Does he know something we don't?

What Howard (LOL) knows is that he\'s played in the NFL, and that while the Saints teams he played on were certainly not \"great\", they weren\'t disaster areas, either...and there was probably at least some of the same kind of stuff (bickering, arguing) going on on those teams as there is going on with the Saints now. So he probably doesn\'t necessarily see such \"discord\" as being quite the kiss of death that we often consider it. Likely as not, from both being in the league and knowing so many people around the league, he knows that even the best teams usually have at least a few people in the organizations who can\'t stand each other\'s guts, and they still find a way to all work toward the same goal. So until this incarnation of the Saints prove that they can\'t possibly pull that balancing act off (they are, after all, 2-2 and not 0-4), he\'ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
